CAST POSITION TRIAL (2016)

Cast position trial is a pragmatic NITEP trial; a randomized, multicenter trial that compares the two commonly used cast immobilization positions of distal radius fracture; volar-flexion ulnar-deviation (“Cotton-Loder”) and functional cast position in primarily successfully reduced, dorsally displaced DRFs in patients aged 65 and older.

PROMEX (2011)

This is how it all began. Study included patients with 2 or 3-4 part proximal humerus fractures. Patients with 2-part fractures were randomized between nonoperative treatment and plate fixation. Patient with 3- and 4-part fractures were randomized between nonoperative treatment, plate fixation or hemiarthoplasty.
